Lead Inspections: Lead inspections are defined by HUD as surface-by-surface investigation to determine the presence or absence of Lead Based Paint. EcoSpect utilizes a Map 4 X-Ray Fluorescence Analyzer (XRF) device to test a representative sampling of all the painted surfaces in a dwelling, unit or building. We test according to protocols set forth by
HUD and ASTM, as well as custom protocols developed to meet specific client needs. XRF testing is the method preferred by HUD to test their buildings for lead based paint. XRF testing is a non-destructive, fast, cost effective and is legally defensible. We perform lead inspections for various organizations and purposes including:
- OSHA
Compliance Surveys
- HUD’s Lead Safe Housing Rule
- Real Estate Purchases & Leases
- NYS Dept Of Health Response To A Lead Poisoned
Child
- NYS Education Dept Mandated Inspections For
School Districts Undergoing Renovation
Lead inspections in homes, pariticularly those built before 1978,
today we feel it is just as important as any other inspection
on a home due to the possible Lead Based Paint Hazards that could
be there. We also would like to mention the number one reason
for most homeowners; the safety of our children.
EcoSpect Inc. Prides itself on the 50+ years of combined lead testing knowledge
that we have and look forward to using that knowledge to make healthier homes for yourself and your children.
If you are looking for cost effective, professional results and a company that cares, then EcoSpect, Inc.
is the company that you need to perform non-destructive lead inspections in your home.
